Larry Page and Sergery Brin, Who are they?
If that question pops up in your mind, then no need to read further!
1. Larry Page and Sergery Brin actually wanted sell Google (then called PageRank) to Yahoo! for 1million USD, so that they can continue with their PhDs. Yahoo! tuned them down.
2. Both Page and Brin were staying at Stanford's William Gates Building (by Bill Gates as he had donated 6 million USD) when they created Google. Now Google is way ahead of MS in search/internet space.
3. The Google data center was the idea from Page when he thought that he can download the entire web to his Hard Disk so that there can be better search.
4. Both Brin and Page never wanted to have money out of Google. Only when investors threatened to pull out, they recruited the CEO. In Business it is rare not to think of money. May be that is the reason for Google policy of "Do not be Evil".
5. The Boeing place purchased by Page and Brin is the only one which has landing permission at NASA runway, California (near to Google headquarters).
6. Google Doodle (sometimes the logo gets changed showing Valentine's Day) etc. is the brainchild of Brin, when he thought to change the logo for a particular occasion will be fun.
When Marissa (their 20th employee and their VP now) was asked by Brin to put it in the website, she thought it must be a joke.
7. Sergery Brin is the executive producer of Broken Arrows.
